These are phenomenal, professional audio headphones. they are top-shelf and top-tier, arrived quickly, beautifully packaged.

Guys make sure to get a dac so you can take advantage of these headphones. i'm hearing sounds i've never heard before with these headphones. but this is only achievable with the mini amplifier/ digital to analog converter. good purchase so far and no complaints. build is excellent

The iconic sundara, i’ve heard so much about it (good and bad) but this is my first planar magnetic headphones in my collection. the open back nature of it is so much more roomy and clear than any grado sr80 or sennheiser hd58x. i’m no audiophile but i will say the sound separation and bass response are very good. i did put on a balanced cable with a jcally x crinacle dac for extra power as i’ve heard planers sound better the more headroom you give them.

Absolutely fantastic headphones! They do require some power to drive them. If they are plugged into the audio output on the computer, they will not play loudly and the base is weak. However, if you give them some power, just wow. They are comfortable and well built with metal construction the included cable is good quality. I can't imagine a better headphone anywhere close to this price point. I would guess that you would have to spend $600 more to find a comparable set.

A good set of planars

Was skeptical due to the insane price, but i believe these were even shipped locally! genuine hifiman sundaras, my first pair of planars. take a bit of getting used to, the clarity and soundstage are just unbelievable. i was worried about the bass response, and while i do have to turn it up (i have a bass knob on my dac otherwise eq would work i'd imagine) it's not only immense but so clean in a way that's hard to describe other than the exact opposite of muddy. really impressed. not "broken in" yet either. my only warnings would be: 1. these are open-back and the sound coming through is loud. they will disturb people in the vicinity. 2. while not particularly hard to drive, a dac/pre-amp is recommended. 3. the sound signature is not for everyone, and is very different from my old favourite "affordable" pair, the beyerdynamic 770 dts. they just might not be your taste. 4. game and chat? you'll need an alternative mic setup. i'm probably going to try to find an attachable boom mic.

Cable was defected. bought new cable and it sounds good.

Sound good but need eq for a slight bass bump and treble taming for my taste. a bit small, i’m 6’5” (195cm) and they barely fit my head but are otherwise comfortable.

Headphones sound great one of the best deals out there. i used it with a few different headphone amplifier to get the best sound.otherwise it will sound a little soft

My first planar. definitely worth it. needs at least 60 mw of power, but many of the dongles now have an additional amp chip and can push these. the sound characteristic is effortless and smooth, well defined across the frequency spectrum, plenty of realism and immersion.

Great quality and price, shipped quickly as it was local. no warranty card or any paper in the box so unsure if this is actually a new product.

My first order had a very bad driver on the left that buzz at 300hz but i returned it and ordered another one, amazing sounds for the price especially on sales or retail, my ears never overheated in my 2 hour gaming session as well. very fun to eq around in.
