Critical Usage Limitations

Power‑On Requirement

This tester requires a long press (hold for >3 seconds) of the power button to turn on. A short tap will not activate the device. Please note this before first use.

Breakpoint Finding – Scope of Use

The breakpoint detection feature helps you locate wire breaks only on energised AC lines (50/60 Hz, 12‑1000 V). It works by sensing where the AC signal drops off along a live conductor.

This function does not apply to:

- DC circuits (including automotive 12 V systems, RV electrics, or battery

‑powered equipment)

- De‑energised (non‑powered) AC cables

- Shielded wires, cables inside metal conduit, or wires embedded in thick walls

Product Scope & What It Cannot Do

This is a non‑contact AC voltage detector, not a multimeter or continuity tester.

It cannot:

- Measure or trace DC voltage, nor locate breaks in DC wiring

- Perform continuity checks or verify closed circuits

- Detect voltage on unpowered lines (even if they are AC)

For automotive troubleshooting or DC circuit diagnosis, please use a dedicated multimeter or a 12 V test light.
