However the car android unit did not recognise the "inbuilt" app apk. And there was some issues with handshake. But there are enough videos abound to show how this works.



After installation, the device connects to the android and apple phones, but one has to click on the app on their android head unit to open the app to see the android auto / carplay screen. Steering controls work.

It works perfectly, I recommend downloading the program file onto a USB drive for faster installation, but I downloaded the app directly from the multimedia and everything worked fine, it functioned perfectly.

Good product, i installed it on my 05 mazda 6 that had an older android unit with no carplay. It was a bit of mucking around to install it but got it going. It works well and doesn’t seem laggy. Just to confirm, this unit will do both wired or wireless carplay. Depends which one u want. Fast postage highly recommend

It arrived in 10 days, worked perfectly in my Argo Driver 19/20, transformed the Android 4.2.2 Multimedia into CarPlay, the connection can be made wired or wirelessly via Bluetooth, I was very satisfied with the product and hope it lasts for many years haha.

When connecting, the app requested an update, but after installing it, the phone could not connect to the device. I had to uninstall and reinstall it without the updates.
