Sovol SV08 High Speed Core-XY 3D Printer

Stop waiting around for slow prototypes. The Sovol SV08 runs on a Core XY frame that pushes speeds up to 700mm/s without shaking the print head. You get a generous 350 by 350 by 345mm volume, so large mechanical parts or miniatures clear the bed easily. Automatic surface calibration aligns each layer perfectly. A dedicated camera watches the nozzle temperature hold steady at 300 degrees Celsius. You simply connect via WiFi, load your sliced files, and watch it run.

Key Features

  • Core XYZ Architecture Enables smooth motion tracking and faster toolhead travel.
  • Automatic Surface Mapping Removes manual guesswork before you press start.
  • Clog Free Hotend System Maintains steady filament push for unbroken layers.
  • Wireless Remote Control Sends G code directly from your computer or phone.
  • Four Independent Z Lifters Keep vertical movement synchronized on heavy builds.

Product Discription

This machine targets makers who want fast results without constant adjustments. The open source controller accepts standard slicing programs like Cura and Simplify 3D. You will find four independent Z motors keeping vertical movement perfectly synchronized. That stability means sharp corners and flat tops on complex designs. The precision drivers deliver a reliable accuracy of plus minus 0.1mm. Standard 1.75mm spools feed smoothly into the hardened 0.4mm brass tip. Compatible operating systems include Windows and macOS for seamless file transfers.

Product Overview

This unit is built for creators who outgrow small desktop enclosures. You get a large working volume that handles functional prototypes and detailed display pieces alike. The reinforced base absorbs vibration during rapid travel moves. You gain predictable geometry straight out of the box.

Key Benefits

  • Faster Output Cycles You finish mechanical parts in half the usual time.
  • Reduced Trial Errors Precise auto leveling keeps initial layers solid every run.
  • Remote Monitoring Safety The built in camera lets you step away without worrying about failures.

Features

Automatic bed calibration maps the surface instantly so you never manually tweak screws. You can slice models anywhere between 0.1 and 0.4mm layer heights depending on your detail needs. The high heat tolerance handles demanding materials like PC and ABS without cracking. Direct digital signal transmission ensures crisp corner definition during zigzag turns.

What’s Included

You receive the complete Sovol SV08 assembly kit, the heated bed plate, mounting hardware, a USB communication cable, and English language guides for software configuration and initial calibration. Essential spare components arrive packed securely to prevent transit damage.

How to Use

Connect the mains plug to any standard wall outlet. Attach your device via local Wi Fi or drop your G code files onto a network drive. Launch Cura or Simplify 3D, select the machine profile, and set your layer height between 0.1 and 0.4mm. Send the job to start printing immediately.

Customer Benefits

You save valuable workshop hours by skipping tedious manual bed alignment. Reliable temperature control prevents warping on stiff thermoplastics. The standardized file format keeps your workflow compatible with industry standard tools. You achieve professional grade finishes on the first attempt.

Ideal Uses

Rapid prototyping mechanical housings, engineering brackets, or functional joints. Creating detailed tabletop terrain pieces and miniature display stands. Producing replacement parts for appliances or automotive interiors. Running batch production tests for custom jigs and fixtures.

Who It’s For

Hobbyists transitioning into advanced filaments like polycarbonate and nylon. Small manufacturing teams needing quick iteration cycles without complex maintenance schedules. Professional designers testing form factors before committing to injection molding runs.

5 Frequently Asked Questions

  • Which slicer software matches best? The system natively supports Cura and Simplify 3D for accurate G code generation and automatic parameter tuning.
  • How does the automatic surface calibration work? Embedded sensors scan the build plate geometry instantly so you skip manual knob adjustments entirely.
  • Can it extrude flexible materials reliably? Yes, the direct drive pathway handles 1.75mm TPU when paired with reduced retraction values.
  • What is the highest usable layer resolution? You get crisp detail down to 0.1mm layers while maintaining structural integrity up to 0.4mm.
  • Does the machine require constant recalibration? No, the rigid frame and independent Z lifts maintain alignment through hundreds of consecutive print jobs.

Good product. I recommend♥️♥️♥️

It arrived faster than expected. Well packaged, easy physical setup (30-40 minutes) the first print was decent. It needs a lot of tweaking with the firmware to operate well, since after each print it tries to dig through the bed with stock cfg. Make sure to screw your table to the wall, it's too fast for its own good.. had layer shifts on second print because of high acceleration that rocked my table. I will modify it lots, but high hopes for the machine. Third print was really good after lots of tweaking in firmware and slicer. Best thing is that it's open source, most negative is that it's not running smoothly without tweaking.

Printer arrived in good condition even being delivered by fedex. setup was easy. printed 80x80x80 hollow 2 walled cube from petg well enough for a test. had to set z-offset a few times to get good first layer squish.
